How long does it take to make your first rosary?

About 30 to 45 minutes to make the first rosary.

What age group can one start to make ranger rosaries?

From my experience of teaching how to make the rosaries in the schools, children need to be at least 11 or 12 years old to make a acceptable rosary. Remember it is for the military and that is why it needs to be well done.

How many rosaries can one make with a 1,000 feet of parachute cord?

For a single rosary 53 inches of cord is required. A 1000 feet or 12,000 inches
of cord makes 226 rosaries.  A 1000 beads makes 16 rosaries - 59 beads for each rosary.  The cost to make and send a rosary with the pamphlets is approximately one dollar.

Where should the rosaries be sent?

Please send the rosaries to an active duty chaplain if you know one. If not, send them to :

St. Mary's Catholic Church
Advancement Office
109 Duke of Gloucester St.
Annapolis, Maryland 21401
Attention: Ranger Rosary

I will include them in my shipments to the chaplains. We have many chaplains from all over the world, especially the war torn areas, who want to receive these combat rosaries.

Note: Please do not cut or burn rosaries sent to St. Mary's coordinator in order that  they may be checked. The reason for this is if there is a mistake it can be corrected but once it is cut and burned it cannot be fixed. Sometimes an Our Father is forgotten or the rosary is too tight or even too loose.  Remember how precious they are to the brave men and women in harms' way who will be receiving them. Thank you for your efforts. Our Lady will be very pleased.
